Zahari Awang … (detailed discussion follows)
Back when I was doing consulting I worked with a chicken company who uses no antibiotics, all pathogen control in the chicken houses was citric acid, all feed was made with expeller pressed soybeans, and a good dose of vegetable meal was also added.
Then for their one higher end line they air chilled their chicken, but for the mass market was water chilled. Water chill means hours in a bleach solution for the chicken.
None the less those air chilled chickens are wonderful when cooked.
Of course the USDA does not allow a pure air chill without using any bleach. The ch
China has continued to import record amounts of chickens from the USA, which is actually bad news since the USA rinses its chickens with a chlorine solution after processing.
Those American chlorinated chickens will cause cancer. The UK is a staunch ally of the USA but even bans the chlorinated chickens.
The USA always has bird and swine flu too. What’s interesting is that whenever China bans the USA’s pork or chicken due to swine or bird flu, China usually seems to end up with the swine and bird flu. Something is just very fishy.
Here in Britain and Europe we do not approve of using chlorine on chicken. Gb no longer belongs to the EU but has retained the ban on chlorine. IDK about pork, but we do not import your beef because of the overuse of antibiotics in America.

In the late 80’s, CBS 60 Minutes ran a story framed as “fecal soup.” Broilers are raised on contracted farms (1 to several barns) following detailed processes covering feed, water, etc. Every step has been informed by decades of experience to reduce chick/bird mortality and maximize development. Birds are collected and arrive at the processor, part of which involved running the carcasses through a chlorine and water bath to kill pathogens. Lots of missing details here but the bottom line is that the production and processing of chickens/hogs/cows/asparagus/walnuts, etc. are all based on proces
The U.S. has some of the most strict regulations on raising and processing chickens in the world. I would never buy a chicken from another country.
