Career pivot from full-time corporate to full-time HRDC Trainer? Looking for advise and/or success stories

About me now:

  • In my mid 30s
  • 10+ years in the energy sector, currently in a sustainability/climate change role
  • Salary: RM10k-12k/month, depending on annual bonus
  • Already have some experiences giving talks/workshops/seminars

Have always had a passion in training/teaching since young. I understand the requirements of TTT & HRDC certification etc. Just looking for advise

  1. Viability of doing this solo e.g establishing my own freelance company vs joining a dedicated training provider?
  2. Looking to provide trainings like Excel, Power BI, perhaps softskills. Do I need to get additional certification to provide specific courses or can I just self curate one e.g ‘Leadership Skills at Workplace’
  3. Possible to make more than I currently do?
  4. Other general advise from full time trainers
